Let’s go to the seaside: A quick visit to Stuisbaai

Struisbaai is a coastal settlement in the Overberg region, about two hundred kilometres south east of Cape Town, and four kilometres from Cape Agulhas, which is the southernmost point in Africa.Being an old fishing village many fishermen reside in Struisbaai but it is lately better known for its leisure activities such as swimming, fishing, horse-riding, hiking, paintball, quadbiking, kayaking and diving. For us living in and around Cape Town it is easy to visit Struisbaai over a weekend for a relaxing stay and we rarely find an excuse not to do so in the hot summer months. Struisbaai has cute coffee and gift shops around every corner as well as relaxing restaurants where you can chill and enjoy a cold beer between the visits to the beach.
