On the corner of Bree and Mechau Street, you will find Folk Coffee Anthropology,
Which since they opened I might have visited quite a lot. So it is safe to say a great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, sometimes dinner or even just a coffee date. Folk is actually a wine-bar and many evenings they host social events, such as book club evenings with wine! Can’t get any better than that!
This place is such a nice little addition to the Foreshore area, with the new splashy Portside building leaning over it. I love that the inner city is such a vibey place, but as you drive into the city, Foreshore is a bit of a haunted place over weekends. So it is great to have this place to go to, away from the rush of Green Point but still close by. I love a place with a nice warm vibe, with good service, good food and really good coffee. Which pretty much sums up Folk Coffee Anthropology, and therefore I took my husband to brunch this past weekend to show him this gem!
Be sure you don’t miss out on their awesome events and follow them on Facebook!
Opening Times: Mon-Tue 7:00 am – 6:00 pm | Wed-Fri 7:00 am – 10:00 pm | Sat 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
